Was contemplatin whether or not to go out and thought I must as I cant see myself havin another session for quite a while. Woke up and it was howling outside with the trees swaying so thought it'd be a 4.2 day. There was noone out there when I arrived but soon afterwards a kiter Pete turned up. It was blowin around 20 mph on the beach, wind was up and down a bit so was contmeplatin between the 5.3 or the 6.3 and chose he latter as the forecast was for the wind to drop. Pete was also contemplatin between his 16m or his 12m and went for the 16. Helped him launch and he got out no problem. I then set sail and was strugglin to tack upwind out of the shipping channel intially but then the wind started to materialise and soon I was well powered up screaming along. Pete was soon overpowered and waited on the beach for quite a while oping the wind would die a bit. All the time the wind was picking up so i made the most of it and was screaming along back and forth down the shipping channel. The wind continued to pick up and I was maxed out blasting along on the flat water. There were some times when I was going that fast; it felt as though it was just the skeg in the water. Wish I had my Sputnik rigged up as it would of been ideal. I then went along to have a word with Pete and helped him launch his kite this time by grabbing hold of his harness. He was way overpowered and we were both getting dragged along the beach so he called it a day and swam back. Frustrating for him but I had a superb sesion. To top it of, I almost completed my first ever carve gybe by chance I think! Came into the gybe with loadsa speed, leant forwards and initiated the carve sheeting in slightly, got all the way round still planing and then flipped the rig totally missing the boom with my back hand resulting in a dunk.
